Botanical Butterflies

bb-stripes-hb.png

I adore this Sale-a-bration item, I may have a few packets of this 12"x 12”  designer series paper. The pack contains twelve sheets, two each of six different double-sided designs.

I love all the sides of the paper, they are Coloured on one side but black and white on the other, so you can add colour if you wish to. I have used Blends, Stampin’ Write markers and Water colour pencils, they all look amazing!

Some of the papers also have designs with butterfly which co-ordinate with the Butterfly Duet Punch. The punch is still un-orderable, however, it should be orderable soon. The images are quite simple to fussy cut. I don’t normally fussy cut images but these were simple. Alternatively you could use a cutting machine if you have one.

The videos below give an overview of the suite and also shows some of the examples that I have made using the papers.

I have another video showing how to make the Hershey holder, it is so cute. I hope that you like my examples I adore this paper.

Beautiful You in Black and White

Today is a slight change to the planned programme, ! I had planned to publish a video on the Botanical Butterfly papers and examples i made. Then I realised that the pictures I had taken of the items were odd, I am not sure what my camera was doing but all the words are all blurry. I have not had chance to work out what went wrong or retake the pictures, so instead I wanted to show the gorgeous card I made using one of my favourite sets.

I have loved the Beautiful You stamp set since I won it at a Stampin’ Up! event. There are so many gorgeous ideas on Pinterest using this set and that it matches with lots of different sets. I decided to go simple with this card, using Whisper White and Basic Black. I used a ‘missing you’ sentiment from the stunning Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set. I added a bit of bling, with the Black Mini Sequin Trim. I think it rounds off the card perfectly but is not too over the top.

This could be done in so many different colours. Do you have a favourite colour to use for Beautiful You cards?

Santa's Workshop Box

santabox.png

In my Santa’s Workshop examples, I showed a Santa Box, made using the Santas Workshop speciality DSP. It is super super cute, I must confess that I CASEd the idea from Scrimping Mommy she made an amazing castle box. Whilst mine does not look like a castle the basic design is the same. The dimensions mean that the largest die cut (the Santa and list) will fit with a boarder. I had planned to do a video but haven’t got round to it (someone stole all my spoons again.)

I used the dies to cut out Santa, the elves and Mrs Santa (Mrs Claus sounds better) from the DSP. Of course you could use the stamps and colour using blends or Stampin’ write markers. It works with either option.

The dimensions are:

Box:(Poppy Parade) - cut card to 8 15/16 x 8 15/16 score on all four sides at 3"

Lid:(Poppy Parade)- cut card to 4 1/2” x 4 1/2" score on all four sides at 3/4"

4 x Decoration Panels: 2 7/8” x 2 7/8” (5 if want to add panel to top of box.)

I hope you like the box. I love it. I hope to create a video soon.

Strawberry Swaps - August

Under_sea_sample.png

My video today is of the cards that the Strawberries made, The Strawberries are demonstrators whose upline is the gorgeously lovely Sarah Berry. I do have to confess that I have had these for a while, but haven’t shared these. Sorry! But I am sharing these now.

You have seen my swap as it was the Under the sea card which I made in August. I still love this card, with seaweed. The other swaps are gorgeous. I love them. The team have definetly inspired me. I love seeing what they come up with and the different ways we all use our supplies. Amazingly there was only 1 repeat stamp set, which was Perennial Birthday. The video is below showing all our ideads and cards (because we post the ideas, to each others and 3d items can be expensive to post.

I have so much inspiration it makes me want to pull out some of my stamp sets and play!

Strawberry Swaps for August

So on Friday I got happy mail, I was so excited. I received a parcel of swaps from the Strawberry Stampers (the Strawberry Stampers are a group of demonstrators led by the lovely Sarah Berry.)  Then I realised that I hadn't shown you all the swaps from August.

The cards are a gorgeous collection of fronts and a card, made by the other members of the team. Surprisingly there was only one repeat stamp set and a combination of different colours, I love guessing what colours are used and the stamp set. I often use swaps for inspiration. Whether it is layouts or colour combinations.

They are all gorgeous, one of my favourite is definetly the card by Martin from martinsmayhem.blogspot.com. Which uses the Share what you love' stamp set, I love the colour combination.

I am off to use these colours on a card, today I am playing with the Frosted Floral suite.
