OMG- the gremlins this week have been in overdrive. I have had IT issues, toothache and feeling rubbish. This was supposed to be last Sunday’s post, so sorry it is late folks!
I seem to be be distracted by You Tube inspiration at the moment. I love watching inspirational videos from lots of different places, usually they make me think of what I have that I can use to create something similar.
Todays card was inspired by Connie Stewart and the inspiration can be found here. I loved the card which she made with the Simply Elegant paper. I decided that I would use the Peaceful Place Speciality DSP, when looking at the paper I also decided that rather than using the DSP at the size suggested (4″ x 10 ½”, scored at 5 ¼) I decided that I wanted to make six cards from a piece of DSP rather than just 3.
Measurements
Metric
10.5 cm x 14.8 cm
DSP – 10cm x 15cm (scored at 14.3cm)
Inside Panel - 10cm x 10.8cm
Imperial
4 1/8" x 5 3/4 "
DSP – 6” x 3 ¾ (scored at 5 1/2)
Inside Panel – 3 ¾ x 5 ½
Tips and Tricks
Ensure that the fold on the DSP is well burnished
Use strong tape to add the DSP
The ‘card’ created may not be perfect, I used my trimmer to remove any excess
I have been playing with the embellishments on the cards, I have been pulling out a lot of the ‘bling’ embellishments. I pulled out the Basic Rhinestones, Holiday Rhinestones, Subtle Shimmer Sequins (Which I love!) and the 2021-2023 In Colour Jewels. The colour I actually used on my cards was the Fresh Freesia which are very iridescent. Which is your favourite?
