Twinkle_weddingcard.png

Last week I posted a card which I had made using the Little Twinkle stamp set from the Twinkle Twinkle Suite. Although the suite is in the baby and children section, when I saw the ‘It was written in the stars, I thought that it was perfect for a wedding card.  There are numerous quotes about love and relationships and the Chinese even have a word for relationships brought together by fate or destiny (although that relates to lots of types of relationships). One of my favourites being ‘a love that's written in the stars.’

I have seen a number of cards made using hearts from the sunshine wishes thinlets. I love the idea of the hearts depicting the bride and groom.

The items used are listed in the information below

Card Base : Whisper White 29cm x 10.5, scored and folded at 14.5cm

Layer – Shimmery White Card  14cm x 10cm

Sentiment layer shimmery white Cardstock – 10cm x 2cm

Scraps of Black and Shimmery white card for the hearts

Components

Take layer and add Shimmery White embossing paste through decorative masks (leave to dry, I tend to leave the paste to dry overnight)

Cut hearts in Black and Shimmery White Cardstock, run top of Shimmery white through again, cut shape to stick on black heart.

Add sentiment, to the strip using Versamark, add silver embossing powder and heat to set. Add to card layer using dimensionals. I then added the hearts by adding glue to back  by using a sponge. Then add bling to suit!

I love this card, it is perfect for any weddings you may be attending.

Super cute little gift bag

Little loves bag_front.png

One of the items I showed in a previous video was this cute little gift bag. I used the Twinkle Twinkle DSP to create the bag using an amazing tutorial from Persephones Papercraft the final dimensions are 4" 1/4 x 6" x 1" 1/2. It is one of my favourite 3D projects to make, so quick and easy but so gorgeous at the same time.It can be decorated in so many ways! You can add handles, close it with a ribbon as I did or not use ribbon at all and just use a library clip.

I have used the Shimmer ribbon, although it is not in Petal Pink, I think that the Powder Pink works. I have added the little bear from the A little Wild stamp set, cut out with the Little loves dies. I used Momento with the Daffodil Delight blend and black pen to colour in the Bumble Bee. I cut the die along the ear and stuck the front of the bear on one side of the bag and the back on the other. I think it works to add interest to both sides.  I have to say it is perfect for a little gift card and a little gift.

My second example will appear in a video in the next few days and uses the Animal expedition suite. I have to confess that I got the stamp set for Free for attending the Onstage event in Telford.  I struggled to decide what papers to use they are so pretty! In the end I went for the pattern which uses, Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party and Whisper white.  I have to confess it is not actually I combo I have used or imagined myself using, but i do think it is sooooo pretty. That's one of the reasons I love crafting as you can challenge yourself to think and allow yourself to be outside the box..

I also used some of my favourite framelits, the stitched shape framelits. I had planned to just use the Rhino, but it didnt look quite right. So I added the circle for the Rhino to sit on. I stamped the Rhino in Tuxedo Black and coloured in using the Smoky Slate, and Crumb Cakes Blends. I coloured the bird in using the Rich Razzleberry blends. This images definitely can be used with lots of colouring techniques just be sure to use the correct ink for the type of colour and project. To top it off I added a clip to hold the bag together.

The dimensions are:

- Designer Series Paper: 12" x 8 1/2"
- Score on 12" side at: 4 1/4, 5 3/4, 10, 11 1/2
(Partial scores on 12" side at: 5, 10 3/4)
- Score on 8" 1/2 side at: 1 1/2, 7 1/2

I hope you try this project, I would love to see your version.

Babies and a little wild!

One of my favourite sets to make baby cards (hatching cards) and childrens cards is the little wild set. I love the little animals, the stamp creates an image of the front and back of the animals and they have a matching die.The dies not only cut out the shapes but it also creates a little tag which can be removed, extra bonus!

The videos below show the stamp set and the items I have made.

I love this set. It is perfect for so many cute ideas. I have another set to show you on Thursday!

Twinkle Twinkle for a little Star

I love the selection of children and baby stamp sets in the Annual catalogue. I love making new baby cards, or hatching cards as they are affectionately known in my house. Baby's bring joy and hope, everything is new.

The Twinkle Twinkle suite is gorgeous, it can be used for a number of occasions and is versatile beyond just children and babies. The video below shows some of the ideas that I created and an walk through of all the gorgeous items in the suite.  You can find pictures of the cards in the gallery.

I have so many ideas for cards using this suite, but on to the next stamp set!

Tranquil Textures Post it holders

TT_non.png

I love making Post it note holders. they are perfect for gifts and also for craft fairs. There are so many different sizes but the 2” squares so cute and you can get 6 from one sheet of card stock.

They are really simple to make and can be decorated any way you like and no stamping if you don’t want to. On these smaller sizes I think that a few embellishments finish off the decoration perfectly. There are two videos below, one with the items you will need and one with the instructions.
