Santas Workshop Box

I made a video of the Santa box I made, very simple (not so quick as it is a long video.) It is the box, I made a few weeks ago. It is super cute, but I wanted to show you how I made it.

The dimensions are:

Box:(Poppy Parade) - cut card to 8 15/16 x 8 15/16 score on all four sides at 3"

Lid:(Poppy Parade)- cut card to 4 1/2” x 4 1/2" score on all four sides at 3/4"

4 x Decoration Panels: 2 7/8” x 2 7/8” (5 if want to add panel to top of box.)

Isn’t it super cute, I cant wait to see everyone elses.

OnStage frivolity

I am so excited, I am spending the day with my Strawberry family. I love spending time with them, they are an amazing group of talented crafters. We don’t get to meet up regularly as we are spread all over the country so the time we do have is special.

You may have already seen the bag that we have received from the posts of Demonstrators all over the world. It includes a gorgeous stamp set which I will show you next week. We will be seeing the new Spring/Summer catalogue and new Sale-a-bration items. We will also be making make and takes with items from the new catalogue.

If you want to join us next time in April, you should join as a demonstrator! It gives you a 20% discount as a minimum whilst you are active and means you join a collection of demonstrators all over the world.

Old Favourites

Sometimes I like to go back to old cards for inspiration and remake them in different colours and DSPs. Today’s card front is a bit different, it is nearly a like for like remake. I originally saw the inspiration for this card in a design challenge, an amazing Australian demo called Teneale Williams created a stunning card. I CASEd the card a few years ago. This is one of my favourites and the return of Mint Macaron meant that I can use the same colours. I did have to change the stamp set as Gorgeous Grunge has retired, instead I used swirly bird it is an amazingly versatile stamp set. If you haven’t seen it before, I recommend a Pinterest search, it can be used all year round.

Although you can’t see well I have used one of my favourite embossing folders Softly Falling, again this can be used all year round. The flower is a butterfly from the Sunshine Wishes dies. I would add this to a Mint Macaron.

Country Lane Strawberry Swap

Country home.png

My example today is the card I sent to all the Strawberry Stampers in the October Swaps. I love the colour combination of Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow and Crushed Curry. Although the colours are autumnal, they could be altered for other times of the year. I think that the sentiment is fabulous as it can be used for lots of different occasions.

The videos below, show the supplies and the instructions, it is a gorgeously simple card.

I thought that this was a cute project I wanted to share.

Strawberry Swaps for October

SSwap-sarah.png

I received some gorgeous swaps for October from the Strawberry Stampers. The Strawberry Stampers are a group of Demos whose up-line is the very talented Sarah Berry. It is a group of very inspirational crafters and wanted to share their creations. A swap is when you send a number of card fronts or items and you receive the same number back from different people with different designs.

I recently filmed the swaps but have had the inspiration for a month. They are full of inspiration, I love them!

I hope you like them as much as I do. The ideas are amazing and swirling a round my head, so many pretty things, so little time.
