Cards are Looking Good with the Looking Up All Inclusive Kits

I love Stampin’ Up! All inclusive kits, they contain everything you need to make 15 cards. It contains the ink, card bases, stamps and embellishments. The only thing you need to add are a bone folder and scissors. If you like having a bit of wiggle room when you add your toppers, then I would also recommend the Multipurpose glue.

THe kit comes in a compact box which can be used to store the kit and also would work as a beautiful present box when all the cards are made. It is a perfect size if crafting space is limited (in Uni Accomodation or small areas) or for crafting on the go (I have made a kit up on the train before.) Kits are perfect for new crafters but are also useful if you want to make quick easy handmade cards that your friends and family will adore.

The first picture shows the completed cards using the kit. The kit contains a gorgeous stamp set which has a number of very useful sentiments. I often find myself searching around for a ‘Happy Birthday’ or feel better soon sentiment and these are the perfect size for a number of uses.

The video below shows an overview of the all inclusive kit, there is also a second video, which gives more tips on using the kits and stamp storage.

I have had so much fun playing with the kit. I have created a few alternatives which are simple but still pretty. Look out for these coming out shortly. Whats your favourite kit?

Mega Flakes Make Beautiful Flowers

One of my favourite retiring stamp sets is ‘Beautiful Day’ it is one of the sets that I reach for again and again. I love the butterfly and flower and the ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment is a perfect size for the front or inside of the card. It is a set which can be used in a variety of techniques, from Watercolouring, embossing and colouring with Blends or markers. I made a video a while ago showing the cards I had made with the different technique options.

For a long time I have wanted to play with Beautiful Day and one of my favourite but probably most unloved items in my stash, Indigo Blu’s mega flakes. These were one of the first things I bought on my stamping craft journey. I wanted to use some on my sisters wedding invitations, however, she went with a travel theme so I didn’t use it. I love that these make your stamps in to gorgeous gilded flowers, I think it makes a different pop to heat embossing. I have managed to loose some somewhere but found my Lancashire Rose flakes. They work perfectly with their flitter glue and scoochy.

The video below shows how I made the Pretty Peacock version. The flitterglue shouldn’t affect your stamps. I recommend having some of Indigo Blus Easy Peasy stamp cleaner to ensure that all the glue is removed. A container of cold water close to were you are stamping is important too.

Dimensions

Rich Razzleberry/ Pretty Peacock - 14.5cm x 21cm scored at 10.5cm to create 14.5x 10.5 card

Whisper White for inside - 13.5cm x 9.5cm

I love how the cards have turned out and have been playing with more stamp sets with the Mega flakes which I will share with you soon.

An Early Treat

03-03-20_th_sample_3_ornate_garden.jpg

Stampin’ Up! have given us an early treat of a Suite from the new catalogue. It is a gorgeous collection of incredible co-ordinated items (as always from Stampin’ Up!), it is a double collection of stamps, dies and gorgeous accessories. I love the ribbon and also the Gilded Gems.

The colours are a combination of current colours and a sneak peek of a new colour. The main colours in the paper are Early Espresso, gold,  Mint Macaron, Old Olive, Terracotta Tile and Whisper White. Of course you are not limited to the colours in the papers and I can’t wait to see what other combinations are used.

There are some gorgeous items on Pinterest which have been made with the suite. The video below has been created by Stampin’ Up! to show the amazing items available.

If this suite is so beautiful, I am so excited to see the new items in the catalogue, as a Demo, I have the added excitement to see it later this month and order items in May.
