Twinkle Twinkle for a little Star

I love the selection of children and baby stamp sets in the Annual catalogue. I love making new baby cards, or hatching cards as they are affectionately known in my house. Baby's bring joy and hope, everything is new.

The Twinkle Twinkle suite is gorgeous, it can be used for a number of occasions and is versatile beyond just children and babies. The video below shows some of the ideas that I created and an walk through of all the gorgeous items in the suite.  You can find pictures of the cards in the gallery.

I have so many ideas for cards using this suite, but on to the next stamp set!

Simple Happy Birthdays

Stampin' Up! have a gorgeous range of birthday stamps and dies. If like me you are last minute dot com then they have the perfect die to make a quick card. You just need some co-ordinating card  and some DSP.

I chose the Broadway Bound DSP, using basic black and gold for one strip  and basic black gold and silver for the others with basic black for the layers and card base. I cut the Happy birthday in Basic Black and then added Versamark and then Gold embossing powder to add  focus and texture. I love the contrast between the two sides of the Broadway Bound DSP it is so different, with bright colours on one side and more muted tones on the other. For my second card I cut the Happy Birthday out of Lovely Lipstick, it is a gorgeous colour, but I have to confess that Grey Granite is still my current favourite!

I am not sure about the gold embossing on top of Black and gold strip of DSP. But the recipients liked the cards so that is the most important thing! I love both of these cards. Which one is your favourite?

Rooted in Nature

I have spent some time playing in the craft room with the Rooted in Nature suite, It is so pretty, i especially love the papers. I must confess I was a bit overwhelmed when I first saw it due to the number of stamps and dies, the options are so varied. I decided to stick to simple card ideas. The gallery has been updated to show what I created, some of the cards were CASEd (Copy and share everything) off Pinterest, some are Copied and Selectively edited and some began life as Pinterest ideas or You Tube videos and I have changed them to suit my style. The videos below show the Suite and also my creations.

A friend has had a baby this week so next weeks inspirations will be baby inspired/themes. I hope you like the examples I have shown this week! Please let me know if there is anything that you would like to see.

Dare to Dream, Hostess set

So the retired list is live, there are some gorgeous stamps, papers and embellishments on the list. As well as some colours, as Stampin' Up! have announced a Colour revamp, whats a revamp? Its a large change in colours as opposed to a few colours. Some have retired, some have moved colour families, some have returned. Welcome back Mint Macaron, oh how I have missed you!

Whilst I and others get their head around the new colours, I am paying homage to Dare to Dream, this is one of my favourite hostess stamp sets. I love the 'dream.' This set can be bought with the Stampin' rewards you receive with a £150 order.
