Snowman Season - simple Stamping

4.png

Another day, another Snowman Seasons simple card. Todays card uses stamp, inks and paper (do Stampin’ Write markers count?)

I saw a gorgeous card with this simple design on Pinterest and thought it was the perfect card for making multiples. I also thought that it was a fabulously gorgeous card.

You could stamp the Merry Christmas in lots of different colours. Also you could use any Stampin’ Write marker to colour the hat. I have seen some gorgeous combinations with Pool Party.

My Metric 10.5 cm x 14.5 cm

Metric 10.5 cm x 14.8 cm

Inside Panel 10cm x 14.3cm

Imperial 4." x 5.5"

Inside Panel 3.75” x 5.25”

You could use a Stampin’ Write marker, to draw a wobbly line around the card, or you could trace around a shape to create a interesting pattern.

Lovely Lattices

ll-dd-sf.png

One of the gorgeous Sale-a-bration items is Lovely Lattice. I love the gorgeous floral stamps, there are 3, one of them is huge, and it is perfect for card fronts.

This set is one of the new ‘cling’ sets. I previously did not add the pictures to the back of my clear stamps (they are clear as they are added to a clear block.)  I have to confess I struggled to line up the images at first; however I am now getting used to it. They are amazing; they are very clingy, almost too clingy. To remove the stamp from the block, grasp securely near the image label and remove slowly, there are a number of suggestions for example placing washi tape under one corner of the stamp.

I had been playing with the Lovely Lattice stamp and making examples, I like to use all the stamps. I have to confess the large image was easy to use, but I struggled with the smaller flower. I found some gorgeous inspiration on Pinterest. I created two cards; I have to say this is my favourite. I love the little flowers the Daffodil Delight blends and the gorgeous sentiment from the ‘Strong and Beautiful’ stamp set.

I have a few more examples to share; I have a video to share these which you will be able to see on Saturday!

Simple Bridesmaid Thank You card

DD and Wonderful Moments.png

A few weeks ago I created a Bridesmaid Thank You card using the 'Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper.' I used the 'Detailed with Love' stamps to create the thank you. I love the card with the gorgeous simplicity of the detailed oval frame. I popped it up with foam adhesive strips, it creates a beautiful 3D card, which I think looks better than a store bought.

However, there are only a few oval shapes in each pack, therefore, I have created an alternative card using silver foil, and using the stamps from the Wonderful Moments stamp set. I think that it looks fabulous with the foil and the colours can be matched with the colours chosen for the wedding or bridesmaid dresses.

The video below shows how to make the card and the second shows supplies needed to create the card, their is a detailed supply list below.

Silver Foil - 12.5 x 8.5cm

I think nay bridesmaid would love to receive this card. I think it is a really cute card. I hope you like it. I am looking forward to tomorrow when the new Autumn/Winter Catalogue goes is released, it is fabulous.

Simple Happy Birthdays

HPBDgold.png

Stampin' Up! have a gorgeous range of birthday stamps and dies. If like me you are last minute dot com then they have the perfect die to make a quick card. You just need some co-ordinating card  and some DSP.

Happy Bday.png

I chose the Broadway Bound DSP, using basic black and gold for one strip  and basic black gold and silver for the others with basic black for the layers and card base. I cut the Happy birthday in Basic Black and then added Versamark and then Gold embossing powder to add  focus and texture. I love the contrast between the two sides of the Broadway Bound DSP it is so different, with bright colours on one side and more muted tones on the other. For my second card I cut the Happy Birthday out of Lovely Lipstick, it is a gorgeous colour, but I have to confess that Grey Granite is still my current favourite!

I am not sure about the gold embossing on top of Black and gold strip of DSP. But the recipients liked the cards so that is the most important thing! I love both of these cards. Which one is your favourite?
