On Stage - Amsterdam

Sorry I haven't written for a while, I do apologise, but I am a spoonie and have had a flare up recently, I haven't really been in my craft room since the start of January. I have been on Pinterest and looking for inspiration, but not finished a card, ( I have done lots of ordering, the occasion catalogue is too pretty). I am always looking for new ways to craft, if you have any ideas, please let me know.

I did book to go to Amsterdam, I am so glad I did, it takes a bit more planning, (and expense) but it was amazing. The new Catalogue (aka Catty) is amazing. I cant spill more than this for now, but it is gorgeous! If you have a demo, contact them to get your copy, if you don't, then fill in the contact me form and I will send you one.

The retired list goes live today (10th April) at 8pm UK time, some will go really really fast, so if you want something, the best thing to do is to order online!

Service Disruption

Apologies for the disruption folks, I am having hand issues, which makes typing very difficult, I am a bit better today so decided to do some quick crafting. Although that was fun too.

I thought I would show you card which  I made a few weeks ago. My fabulous up line set a competition to use the Sale-a-Bration FREE items. I had seen something very like this on Pinterest and used it as inspiration. I used both the Delicate Details for the lace and  the So very Much Stamp Set for the wording so double FREE! Oooo (not sure that is a word, but it is in my world).

I love Rich Razzleberry but I am not convinced that it shows the colour well in the light (I think a photo lamp may be required).  I also used the Rich Razzleberry Ombre Stampin’ Pad for the wording. It is lighter at the bottom. I have enjoyed experimenting with this.

Previously I have not used the enamel shapes very much, but I decided that they would finish off my design. Again these are Rich Razzleberry, these are found in the Brights Enamel Shapes.

I used my favourite format of a 14.8cm x 10.5cm card base with a 13.8cm x 9.5cm mat and topped with a layer which I sized by Stamping the Thank You and then trimming down. This was living dangerously for me as I often get this wrong but I love how it turned out.

You can get the Delicate Details or the So very Much Stamp Set Free until the 31st March (or while stocks last) with a purchase of £45. This can be made up of anything, from the Occasions, Main Catalogue or the Clearance Rack.

I am off to experiment with colours.

Kiss Kiss - Stampin' Up!

I have continued playing with the Sealed with Love stamps today. I love mixing old and new sets. This is one of my favourites! I will definitely making something else with this combination.

I used the Layered Letters Alphabet. I love the font of this Alphabet, I love that it is large enough to be a focus, but small enough to be used on tags and does not over power cards. I think the font of the kiss stamp goes really well with the individual letters.

I used a combination of pinks, Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo with Night of Navy. I love Flirty Flamingo it is such a fabulous colour of pink it gives cards such a pop! It works really well with the lips.

I am off to try this card using Reds instead of pinks!

A Teeny Tiny Love Note with Stampin' Up Love Notes Framelits

I love this time of year. Soon it is Valentines Day and Mothers Day, these framelits will cover these cards and more.

I have retro fitted a card front that I made at On Stage, I loved the little note, but wanted to show that it doesn't have to be added on to 3x3 card blank . The little note can be taken out of the envelope and can be written on. There are also little notes in the stamp set which will fit.

I decided that I wanted to use the Sending Love DSP which is part of the 'Suite.' It is gorgeous paper in Whisper White and Real Red, I have to confess I love some of the patterns, but am not sure about others, but I think as long as you like at least one side of the two it is all ok! Not all are Valentines focused, most can be used for Anniversaries, Birthdays or Mothers Day.

I love the little Real Red hearts on this paper. I find the combination so lovely, I am not sure why Mint Macaron works with Real Red, but I think it does!

Watercolour Heart

As you can tell I have used the Sealed with Love stamp set a lot over the last few days. I challenged myself to make some Valentines cards. Although everyone keeps pointing out that I actually only need one.

I went for a traditional colour combination of Whisper White and Real Red on this card. I used the same heart template as I used earlier in the week. This time I used the Real Red watercolour pencil, which I blended with the blender pen.

I did have to use a heat tool to ensure that the paper was dry and then used the Hello Love from Sealed with Love using Real Red ink. I used the enamel shapes to add a few more hearts.

I do like the traditional Valentines feel of this card.  I think it will also work in other colours, I want to try it in Melon Mambo or Calypso Coral, I may try it tomorrow. I have yet to experiment with the matching framelits so I may play with them too....
