Sale-A-Bration

Sale-a-Bration started on the 3 January. What is Sale-a-Bration? It is the most exciting promotion of the year, that Stampin' Up! run,  where you can get free stamp sets paper and accessories (with a qualifying purchase).  In January, February and March, you can earn exclusive items for every £45 you spend (before post and packaging). These items can only be earned they are not available to buy. These are some of my favourites.

Party Pandas

Party Pandas is a clear red rubber stamp set with three very cute Pandas and sentiments.These pesky critters are all over Pinterest, they are amazing, simple stamping for amazing impact. There seems to be a discussion over what the third panda is up to, one is holding a balloon, one an envelope and the third is dancing/juggling/handstanding? Everything you need for most types of card, this covers Valentines and Birthdays, I even seen the c word cards, which I cant say for a while :)

Lots of Lavender

Lots of Lavender is a photopolymer stamp set with beautiful lavender and rose images.  Its two-step stamping set makes it quick and easy to use, you can just stamp the outline and have some fun colouring, using the Watercolour Pencils or new Stampin' Blends. If you use the  two-step stamping image, it creates a beautiful watercolour look. I can't wait to use this set in the new Stamparatus.

Beautiful Peacock

Part of the appeal of this set is the body of the peacock is separate so can be inked up in different colours, creating different birds everytime. Don't be fooled that this set is all about a peacock. This set contains the building blocks  for backgrounds with flowers by using the swirls and the sentiment 'Today is all about you' can be used for so many things.

I cant wait to play with even more of these sets.

Silver Mini Gable Boxes and the new catalogues

Stampin' Up! has released its new Spring Summer Catalogue, it is Amazing!!! It is gorgeous, there are so many pretty things. The catalogue went live yesterday, to see a copy, click on the the banner. If you need a catalogue, please contact me.

A few months ago we got to see the catalogue, at the OnStage event, while we were there we made a make and take which was some gorgeous cards and a 3D project. The 3D project was a Silver Gable Box, which was wrapped in the Sweet Soire Speciality DSP. I love the Berry Burst ribbon. I have to confess, i went a bit 'off piste', I dont tend to follow the instructions on projects, I dont feel they always sit with my style. I changed the 'for you' to happy birthday (isn't the font adorable). I made a second box with similar pieces of the DSP, but made the pieces smaller than the sides. I am struggling to tie the bows, but I dont think they look too bad.

I have been playing with the Sweet Soire Suite, it is a gorgeous mix of colours and patterns with silver metallic accents. It includes some fabulous stamps, dies, and other gorgeous items. You can find it on page 10 and 11 of the new catalogue.

Panda Party Birthdays

I love being part of the Stampin' Up! family, there are so  many talented demonstrators who share some fabulous ideas. Sometimes when I see something I want to try it. This card was inspired by a number of cards that I have seen on Pinterest. The Party Pandas are Free with a £45 purchase.

I love the little critters, they are gorgeous, they are so mischievous. I also love the adhesive-backed sequins, I am addicted to the whole Tutti-Frutti suite. The colours of the sequins are Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie and yellow. I decided to use the Berry Burst as the accent colour. I have to admit it is my favourite In Color.

I am sure you will be seeing so many Pandas in the next few weeks and Iwill be showing you more Panda Party ideas. I love them more than Piggies and Chicks.

Crafting made easy

I love the new Stampin' Up Blends, they make colouring so easy and the results are beautiful. Blends are premier alcohol markers, these are high-quality, dual-tip markers which come in 12 exclusive colours. The colours available are:

Bermuda Bay; Calypso Coral; Cherry Cobbler; Crumb Cake; Daffodil Delight; Night of Navy; Old Olive; Pink Pirouette; Pool Party; Pumpkin Pie; Rich Razzlebury; Smokey Slate.

I was so excited to also see that a limited kit has been released, which show off the new blends beautifully. It makes 16 gorgeous cards, the picture shows 3 of the 4 cards.

I spent an evening stamping and colouring, these cards and they are both simple and easy. The kit does not come with the stamp set, but it can be bought as a bundle, when the kit is made the stamps can be continued to be used, they have some gorgeous images and you could even reproduce the cards with other DSP and card.

I have been using the blends to make other cards which I will share on my galllery soon.

This was the first set on my list when I looked in the new catalogue. These are also the first cards I made using the new items from the catty. It has to be one of my favourites, although it lends itself to being heat embossed, whether using gold as I did with the 'ho ho ho' stamp. Or using coloured ink and clear embossing as I did on the light bulb christmas tree, both look amazing, but I am slightly biased. I love the sentiments and I think that they make really pretty cards. It may have been a set that you over looked in the catalogue, but I think that it is definetly one to add to your wish list.
