Happiness Blooms - Happy Flowers

Hapiness+Blooms-nofn-jpg.jpg

I have continued playing with the Happiness Blooms Suite. The papers are gorgeous, it has an interesting retro look to it. I have to admit I wasn’t sure about the patterns when I first saw them. However, they have grown on me. I struggle with the bright, bright colour, you may noticed that I am not a bright kind of girl, the subtle shades are my go to suite. This DSP definitely got me out of my comfort zone. The paper is better in the flesh! I do love the amazing flower paper with tulip shaped flowers in Calypso Coral, Lovely Lipstick and Pineapple Punch on Night of Navy.

I have to confess that Night of Navy is one of my favorite go to colours, I think that its inclusion in the suite made me feel more comfortable. Normally I would try and use the matching stamp set for the sentiment. The Bloom by Bloom set is all images, therefore I have raided my stash to find sentiments. I have also been perusing Pinterest and You Tube for inspiration. Click on the box to go to the video:

I think that this is the perfect paper for both male and female cards, I also think it makes gorgeous 3D items. Although I do need to make a new bag, as Tinca (my littlest Lab) ate my example. Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Hello, World!

Happiness Blooms, Bloom by Bloom

The new Spring Summer Catalogue went live last week. I am so excited that everyone has now had the opportunity to see all the new gorgeous items. They are yummy scrummy, I am not sure what my favourite item in the catalogue is yet, but there are some fabulous, gorgeous, amazing items.

One of the perks of attending Onstage is being able to order early (although I have been unable to play with them, pesky spoon theif). One of the items in the Preorder was the Happiness blooms suite. I have to confess I wasn’t sure about some of the colours, although I am now a Lovely Lipstick convert.

I decided to do something different with this suite, I felt that making things with all the items in the suite meant I limited the amount of examples I could make. So with this suite I have made items using the stamp set, then the papers, then the memories and more cards.

The stamp set as the name suggests ‘bloom by bloom’ contains flowers but no sentiments. Not all the stamps are ‘flowery’ some are abstract and make some interesting shapes.

I love the stamps in the suite, I will be showing my other examples over the next few weeks. Please let me know if you would like to know more.

Strawberry Swaps for November

ssn-me.png

It is that time of the month again when the amazingly talented Strawberries swap cards to provide inspiration for the rest of the team. We don’t have themes so we can create anything we choose using the colours and stamp sets which we choose. Surprisingly, we rarely duplicate sets, I think that it is because we have lots of gorgeous sets to choose from (I really can’t choose my favourite.)

My swap is using the Making Christmas bright set and also the suite seasons washi tape. I decided to make a tag as I thought it would be useful inspiration on the run up to Christmas. Of course tags are useful all year round for any sort of presents and bags. The scalloped tag topper is definitely one of my go to items that I would recommend to any crafter.

I added some bling to my swap, these are some of my favourite embellishements. I am pleased that I have started to use bling, it add pizzaz to the project/ What do you do to add pizzaz?

Onstage Make and Takes including sneeky peeks of new catalogue

The new Spring/Summer 2019 catalogue is due to go live on the 3rd January. It is doubly exciting as it also means that Sale-a-Bration, starts too.

Over the weekend demonstrators who attended Onstage got to view the catalogues, the other demonstrators saw it on Tuesday. I will be sending the catalogue to my customers in December.

But in the mean time I have filmed a video showing the gorgeous make and takes we made. I love the new stamps and dies spoiler there is an amazing masculine set, I know that I struggle with masculine cards.

I apologise for the lighting, I am still trying to learn how light videos when it is dark.

I hope you love the examples we made, as much as I do. If you would like a copy of the new catalogues, please contact me. I will be sending them out in Mid December.
