Cheerful Tags for Birthdays

It was recently my other halfs Mums birthday. I saw an amazing card on pintrest by an Australian Demo called Marelle Taylor. It was beautiful, I CASed the card, and used it as an inspiration for a bottle decoration.

I loved how the Blooms & Bliss paper looked like a Hydrangea, and debated using it on the tag. However, I decided that the Rich Razzlebury was prettier.

I remembered that I had the gorgeous trio of ribbons from the Paisleys and Posies suite. I teamed the Rich Razzlebury with the other colours from the suite, Blushing Bride and Sweet Sugarplum.

Creating the tag is really easy, however, I recomend that you use the precision plate for the intracate details in the tag dies. The die brush also saves time cleaning the image. I used fine detail glue and also dimensonals to give the tags height from the bottle.

I also created a belly band to go round the bottle, which I stamped Happy Birthday on, I took the stamp from 'BalloonCelebration,' it is one of my favourite birthday type sets.

I placed the bottle in one of the huge guested bags (they fit, Prosecco and Champagne in!!)

I can not wait to use this bundle for all my Christmas wrapping. I am looking forward to experimenting with the foil and Glitter paper in the catalogue. The combinations for birthdays is also really exciting.

This will definetly be a go to bundle for the next few weeks and months. I promise to take a picture of the whole package next time!

Colour and shape debates

So yesterday was spent debating whether Santa should be Cherry Cobbler or Real Red. Still not sure, I think that Real Red pops more. I think that I will try using the Candy Cane Lane Washi tape,  I think that will make the sides more interesting.

I also played with shapes and the new In colours using the same sketch. With the animals from Love you Lots (hostess set).

Loving the sketch and all its possibilies.

Playing in my Craft Room

Yesterday I got to spend some time in my craft room. Something I have not been able to do for a while due to family commitments. I was playing with the Christmas Cookie Cutters stamps and Punch.

My prototype is shown in this post. Contary to popular belief, everyone spends time playing with cards which are slightly less than perfect (too much glue, argh).

But I will be perfecting this today. I only have a few to play with.  (The picture is of three of many)

I am experimenting with Wink of Stella and embossing powders for Santa, but also pondering the stripes at the side.

So many ideas so little time.
