Love Santa Kit

Oooooo Stampin’ Up! are spoiling us again. They have released another new kit which creates some stunningly gorgeous tags. The Love, Santa Tag Kit from Stampin’ Up!’s kit collection is another all inclusive kit. All inclusive kits have the embellishments, ink pads, ribbons and block you need to create the gorgeous gorgeous tags. My favourite part is that you can reuse the stamps after the kit has been used up to create more gorgeous items. I have a fabulous collection of kit stamps which make gorgeous cards, I store them all together in an stamp case.

It has been suggested that the tag toppers could be cut off and the tags added to a card. I am not sure about this yet, my kit is still in my box (I am attempting to finish off some cards before I get distracted with new gorgeous items). I will experiment with them when I have the chance, but I do think that the example tags, look amazing!

As with all kits, I recommend that you will need a bone folder, a pair of scissors and some liquid glue. Although liquid glue is not specifically recommended, I use it to ensure that I have a little wriggle room when sticking items together.

The video below shows the Stampin’ Up! CEO Sara Douglass showing how to put together the kit step-by-step.

There are also a collection of gorgeous bags, which would be perfect to wrap up presents or make items for Christmas Eve boxes. I love the car the most, which is your favourite?

Christmas Whimsy Kit

Have you seen the gorgeous card kit from Stampin’ Up!? The Christmas Whimsy kit is only available whilst stocks last, but it is perfect for super cute Christmas cards.

As with most kits it contains virtually everything you need to create 8 cards (and you have a stamp set to create more gorgeous cards.) As well as the stamps, it contains the card bases, elements, ink, bling, stamp block and adhesives (dimensionals and glue dots.) The only thing that you need to add is scissors, I also find a bone folder to burnish the cards is useful as well as liquid glue as this can you wiggle time, to ensure that the elements are in the correct place.

The kit also includes the step by step instructions for putting the cards together.

As an extra bonus to the step by step instructions in the kit, the video above shows the fabulous, Stampin’ Up! CEO Sara Douglass showing you how to put together the gorgeous kit step by step.

The kit is perfect for simple Christmas presents with minimal other supplies required. Its currently one of my favourite kits, which is your favourite?

Cardmaking Basics

hello dear friend.jpg

Todays post is a bit different, I feel a bit like it is the twilight zone, don’t adjust your sets :)

After a large number of awful mistakes culminating in me droping a glass bottle on the floor I decided to film a different video than I was trying to film (it was awful, glue every except where it was supposed to go and ink dropped on cards.)

So I decided to film a new to stamping video.

My favourite item to recommend to a new stamper is a kit. I love the all inclusive kits as they contain all you need. They have card bases, envelopes, stamps, inks, dimensionals and also the embellishments. Another bonus is they have a block so if you are new to stamping you don’t have to buy a block. The only other things that I recommend is glue and also scissors.

If you know stamping is for you, I then recommend note cards, they come with envelopes - no cutting (whcih i think is a bonus,) You can add ink and punch pieces for quick simple cards. I also use the stamps from previous kits I have to make super cute cards (everyone loves a handmade card!) I would recommend getting one ink collection, my first collection was the subtles, but the in-colours come in 5’s rather than 10’s so can be good to play with at a more reasonable price.

I think that any stamp set with a punch is perfect. I am in love with the dragonflies, for birthdays I recommend the Sweet Ice Cream bundle for birthdays and the Snowman Seasons for Christmas.

What do you think are the essentials for crafting? Have I missed something?

Lots of Happy Kit

Whats black and white with the options to add colour? The fabulous Lots of Happy kit from Stampin’ Up! There’s lots to love and enjoy in this all-inclusive card kit including the stamps, card bases and embellishments.  It is so easy to make these gorgeous cards and then add your own colour using the fabulous Watercolor Pencils which are included in the kit. All you need to add is adhesive and scissors. I also recommend a blender pen and bone folder. The kit makes 4 each of 5  card designs for a total of 20 card designs.

The video below shows the kit and the cards that I made using the kit and stamp set.

To make this kit more easily usable, I have an offer for you, if you purchase this kit before the end of April 2020 you will receive a free blender pen.*

notes_of_kindness.jpg

Over the last few days I have been playing with some of the Stampin’ Up! all inclusive kits. Kits are perfect for new stampers to test the basics of stamping or more advanced crafters who have limited space.

Sometimes it’s nice to just be able to sit, relax and make some gorgeous cards without having to make decisions as all the planning and instructions are provided for you.  Everything is ready to go!  You just have to add a bone folder, scissors and glue.

The Notes of Kindness is an amazing kit. This kit is so simple to make using the stickers and die-cuts provided but also makes 20 elegant cards with a gorgeous soft design.

What is included in the kit

  • Set of 6 photopolymer stamps

  • All paper supplies to make 20 cards. ( 5 of each 4 designs)

  • Clear stamp Block

  • Giftable kraft box

  • Die-cut stickers and accent

  • Dimensionals

  • Black Archival ink spot

I decided to use the stamps to create some more cards using the stamp set, block and ink spot. I also used the 2019-2021 In colours.  But you could use any colour combination.
