Snowman Season - simple Stamping

4.png

Another day, another Snowman Seasons simple card. Todays card uses stamp, inks and paper (do Stampin’ Write markers count?)

I saw a gorgeous card with this simple design on Pinterest and thought it was the perfect card for making multiples. I also thought that it was a fabulously gorgeous card.

You could stamp the Merry Christmas in lots of different colours. Also you could use any Stampin’ Write marker to colour the hat. I have seen some gorgeous combinations with Pool Party.

You could use a Stampin’ Write marker, to draw a wobbly line around the card, or you could trace around a shape to create a interesting pattern.

I love the bright real red Merry Christmas. What is your favourite?

A different CASE

There are two different alternatives for the acronym CASE in the craft world. The first is copy and share everything, the other alternative is copy and selectively edit. Today I thought  that I would try the second meaning using the Global Design Project sketch.

GDP200.jpg

Copy and selectively edit, means that you use the inspiration in a number of ways for inspiration, you could use the colours, sketch lay out, or pick out elements. From the stunning inspiration in #GDP200 I considered a number of options. The colours (I think that they are Crumb Cake, Lovely Lipstick and Petal Pink), the linen thread, the embossed layer, the three elements (using the Butterfly Gala Stamp set.)

I decided to go with the embossed background, three elements and the linen thread. Rather than using an embossing folder I used an embossing mat to make images of two snowflakes and used the same die to cut out the snowflakes.

Lots of Happy Kit

Whats black and white with the options to add colour? The fabulous Lots of Happy kit from Stampin’ Up! There’s lots to love and enjoy in this all-inclusive card kit including the stamps, card bases and embellishments.  It is so easy to make these gorgeous cards and then add your own colour using the fabulous Watercolor Pencils which are included in the kit. All you need to add is adhesive and scissors. I also recommend a blender pen and bone folder. The kit makes 4 each of 5  card designs for a total of 20 card designs.

 A ray of Sunshine

It is raining here and I am starting to feel a bit like a duck, the roads are wet and I have been watching the river (the village flooded a few years ago). To avoid the rain I have been playing with the Sunshine Wishes and Sunshine sayings  stamp and die set.

I love this set, I have had it for a long time, I think it was one of the first bundles I bought along with the Balloon punch. The Sunshine Wishes contains 7 dies, a flower, butterfly, heart and the words congrats, sunshine, love and hope. The Sunshine sayings stamp set contains 26 stamps. If you search on pinterest you will find alot of examples using the heart, therefore, whilst looking at inspiration and deciding what to make i have made more with the other dies,

The stamp set gives a number of options to create sentiments, with or without the dies. I love the versatility of the set, they can be combined with other stamps, dies or punches, or used alone. The Videos below show an overview of the stamp and dies, also the examples I have made using the gorgeous stamps and dies.

I love this set, I am off into the craft room to play with the Sale-a-bration items. What are you playing with?

But it is not Saturday!

I apologise that the Lovely Lattice Video was not uploaded on Saturday, it was a crazy day and I ran out of spoons (I am a not so secret Spoonie!)

As I mentioned last week, one of the gorgeous Sale-a-bration items is Lovely Lattice. I love the gorgeous floral stamps and have been making some examples using the 3 stamps in the stamp set.

I have been pinning ideas on pinterest for weeks before I made some cards. I love the inspiration, I loved the embossed cards although I had to hide my heat gun or all the cards would have been embossed.

I did struggle coming up with ideas for the smaller stamps, but overall I am very happy with the cards I created. The video below shows the cards I have made.

Do you ever want to make lots of cards using the same technique? What is your favourite?
